Keep or Toss Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is provided on behalf of Keep or Toss, Inc. (referred to hereinafter as “Keep or Toss,” “KOT,” “we”, or “our”). It explains how KOT uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our App.
What data do we collect?
To provide the KOT services we must collect and process personal information about you. The information we collect depends on how you use the App.
- Information and content you provide. We collect the content, communications and other information you provide when you use our App, including when you sign up for an account, create or share content, and message or communicate with others. This can include, among other things, information in or about the content you provide (like metadata), such as the location of a photo or the date the file was created. It can also include what you see through features we provide, such as our camera, so we can do things like suggest masks and filters you might like, or give you tips on using camera formats. Our systems automatically process content and communications you and others provide to analyze context and what’s in them for the purposes described below.
- Networks and Connections. We collect information about the people, accounts, hashtags and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them across the App, such as people you communicate with the most or groups you are a part of. We may also collect contact information if you choose to upload, sync, or import it from a device (such as an address book or call log or SMS log history), which we use for things like helping you and others find people you may know and for the other purposes listed below.
- Your usage. We collect information about how you use our App, such as the types of content you view or engage with, the features you use, the actions you take, the people or accounts you interact with, and the time, frequency and duration of your activities. For example, we log when you’re using and have last used our App and what posts you have viewed and voted on or added to your wishlist. We also collect information about how you use features like our camera.
- Things others do and information they provide about you. We also receive and analyze content, communications and information that other people may provide about you when they use our App. This can include information about you, such as when others share a photo of you, send a message to you, or upload, sync or import your contact information.
- Device Information. We collect information from and about the computers, phones, and other web-connected devices you use that integrate with our App, and we combine this information across different devices you use. For example, we use information collected about your use of our App on your phone to better personalize the content, including ads or features you see when you use our App on another device, such as your laptop or tablet, or to measure whether you took an action in response to an ad we showed you on your phone on a different device. Information we obtain from these devices includes:
- Device attributes: information such as the operating system, hardware and software versions, battery level, signal strength, available storage space, browser type, app and file names and types, and plugins.
- Device operations: information about operations and behaviors performed on the device, such as whether a window is foreground or backgrounded, or mouse movements (which can help distinguish humans from bots).
- Identifiers: unique identifiers, device IDs, and other identifiers, such as from games, apps or accounts you use, and Family Device IDs (or other identifiers unique to Keep or Toss associated with the same device or account).
- Device signals: Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
- Data from device settings: information you allow us to receive through device settings you turn on, such as access to your GPS location, camera or photos.
- Network and connections: information such as the name of your mobile operator or ISP, language, time zone, mobile phone number, IP address, and connection speed..
- Device signals: Bluetooth signals, and information about nearby Wi-Fi access points, beacons, and cell towers.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Keep or Toss with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Create an account;
- Use KOT Services, as defined in our Terms of Use;
- Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email; and
- Use or view our App
How do we use your data?
We use the information to provide and support the App, as described below.
Provide, personalize, and improve our Products: We use the information we have to deliver our Services, including to personalize features and content (including your voting feed and ads) and make suggestions for you (such as styling tips you may be interested in or friends you may want to follow) on and off our App. To create personalized Services that are unique and relevant to you, we use your connections, preferences, interests and activities based on the data we collect and learn from you and others; how you use and interact with our App; and the people, places, or things you’re connected to and interested in on and off our App.
Location-related information: We may use location-related information, such as your current location, where you live, the places you like to go, and the businesses and people you’re near, to provide, personalize and improve our App, including ads, for you and others. Location-related information can be based on things like precise device location (if you’ve allowed us to collect it), IP addresses, and information from your and others’ use of the App.
Product research and development: We may use the information we have to develop, test and improve our App, including by conducting surveys and research, and testing and troubleshooting new products and features.
Ads and other sponsored content: We may use the information we have about you-including information about your interests, actions and connections – to select and personalize ads, offers and other sponsored content that we show you.
Provide measurement, analytics, and other business services: We may use the information we have (including your activity off of our App, such as the websites you visit and ads you see) to help advertisers and other partners measure the effectiveness and distribution of their ads and services, and understand the types of people who use their services and how people interact with their websites, apps, and services.
Communicate with you: We use the information we have to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our App, and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.
How do we store your data?
Keep or Toss securely stores your data on servers located in the United States.
Marketing
Keep or Toss would like to send you information about Services of ours that we think you might like. These include emails and push notifications.
If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop Keep or Toss from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Keep or Toss group.

What are your data protection rights?
Keep or Toss would like to make sure you are fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
The right to erasure. You have the right to request that Keep or Toss erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing. You have the right to request that Keep or Toss restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing. You have the right to object to Keep or Toss’ processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability. You have the right to request that Keep or Toss transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

How can I manage or delete information about me?
We provide you with the ability to access, rectify, port and erase your data.
We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until your account is deleted – whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs.
When you delete your account, we delete things you have posted or created, such as your photos, and wishlist, and you won’t be able to recover that information later. Information or photos that others have shared about you isn’t part of your account and won’t be deleted. To delete your account at any time, please email us at info@keeportoss.com.
Privacy policies of other websites
The Keep or Toss App may contain links to third-party websites. Our Privacy Policy applies only to our App, so if you click on a link to a third-party website, you should read their privacy policy.
